The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and TRISO-X, LLC (TRISO-X) staff have held a number of calls to seek clarity on draft responses to supplements for the methodology requests for additional information (RAI) related to the Integrated Safety Analysis (ISA) summary and Structural design reviews. These discussions have resulted in proposed updates to the RAI responses to ensure resolution of the items. To ensure sufficient time to resolve these items, the NRC staff is extending the due dates for the TRISO-X responses to the RAIs. The due dates for the ISA summary related supplements for RAIs 1-9 and the response to the ISA summary RAI 10 are extended to July 1, 2024.The due date for the Structural Design supplement for RAI 2-2 is extended to July 19, 2024.
Thanks for your ongoing efforts to resolve the open methodology RAIs and plans to update the license application, which will support the NRC staffs ability to move forward with the detailed technical review.
