Dear Senator Collins:
The Office of the Inspector General at the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB) requests your participation in recommending topical or specific areas to be examined by our office during fiscal year 2025. We design our planning process to yield assignments that will encourage efficiency, economy, and effectiveness in the DNFSB's programs and operations; detect and prevent fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement; and, improve program and securityuactivities at headquarters and regional locations.
My office is committed to ensuring the integrity of the DNFSB's programs and operations. Developing an effective planning strategy is a critical aspect of accomplishing this commitment. Such planning ensures that we use audit and investigative resources efficiently.
