May 30, 2024 Mr. Christopher Regan, Director Division of Rulemaking, Environmental and Financial Support Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission Mail Stop: TWFN-7A60M Washington, DC 20555-0001 Dear Mr. Regan Thank you for the letter regarding the proposed renewal of the operating license for the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, Units 1, 2, and 3, operated by the Tennessee Valley Authority in Limestone County, Alabama. We accept the invitation to consult under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
The Chickasaw Nation is in support of the proposed undertaking, and we do not believe there will be specific historic properties affected. In the event the agency becomes aware of the need to enforce other statutes, we request to be notified under ARPA, AIRFA, NEPA, NAGPRA, NHPA, and Professional Standards.
