Ms. Amanda Donges, Senior Vice President Workforce Training, Education, and Proficiency Institute of Nuclear Power Operations 700 Galleria Parkway, S.E., Suite 100 Atlanta, GA 30339-5943
Dear Ms. Donges:
The Report on the Effectiveness of Training at Operating Power Reactors for Calendar Year 2023 is enclosed. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has concluded that accredited training programs at operating power reactors continue to meet the systems approach to training requirements contained in 10 CFR Parts 50 and 55. The NRC observed the National Nuclear Accrediting Board (NNAB) and evaluated industry trends related to training. Licensees and the NNAB are generally identifying and correcting training issues at a level that support safe operation. If you have questions on any of the topics discussed in this report please contact me at (301) 415-1004 or Mr. Jim Anderson, Chief of the Operator Licensing and Human Factors Branch, at (301) 415-3945.
Sincerely, Russell Felts, Director Division of Reactor Oversight Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation
