& Nonproliferation U.S. Department of State 2201 C Street, NW Washington, D.C. 20520
Dear Dir. Warden:
Enclosed is an amendment application (XSNM3807/02) accepted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on April 2, 2024, from TN Americas LLC. The application requests to extend the expiration date of the current license to export uranium hexafluoride in the form of residual heels to the Russian Federation.
Before taking action on this request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended. If you have any questions, please contact the Licensing Officer, Barry Miller (Barry.Miller@nrc.gov) and/or the Licensing Assistant, Charlese Smith (Charlese.Smith@nrc.gov).
Sincerely, 5/17/2024 X
