REGULATORY GUIDES During the 715th meeting of the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS),
April 30 - May 2, 2024, the Committee considered the following regulatory guides. No response to this memorandum is requested.
REGULATORY GUIDES 1.
Draft Regulatory Guide (DG)-1290, proposed Revision 3 to Regulatory Guide (RG) 1.59, Design Basis Floods for Nuclear Power Plants (ML24121A003). The Committee does not request a briefing on this topic.
2.
DG-1417 (proposed new RG 1.256), Guidance for Assessment of Flooding Hazards due to Water Control Structure Failures and Incidents (ML22306A003). The Committee does not request a briefing on this topic.
While the Committee does not request briefings on the above 2 DGs, the Committee does request a briefing on the status of the probabilistic flood hazards analysis (PFHA) methodology presently being worked on and the scheduling of a briefing when these efforts have progressed into a draft guidance document.

DG-3058 (proposed new RG 3.78), Acceptable ASME Section XI Inservice Inspection Code Cases for 10 CFR Part 72, (ML24122A783, Non-public). The Committee does not request a briefing on this topic.
