This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
Purpose:
To continue the discussion between the NRC staff, industry stakeholders and the public regarding enhancing the NRCs oversight of the licensees implementation of its Probabilistic Risk Assessment Configuration Control (PCC) process. Specifically, the staff will discuss proposals related to the Significance Determination Process (SDP) with respect to PCC issues. This is the second meeting related to this topic. This meeting will offer an opportunity for the industry and public to provide feedback on the effort and on the staffs recommendation to enhance the oversight efforts associated with PCC.
