NRC Mission Statement The NRC licenses and regulates the Nations civilian use of radioactive materials, to provide reasonable assurance of adequate protection of public health and safety, to promote the common defense and security, and to protect the environment.

Resident Inspector Program Resident inspectors live in the communities they serve Perform onsite inspections Provide daily oversight of plant activities, including the control room Routinely discuss safety concerns with plant personnel and senior management Observe emergency drills and provide support to NRC decision makers for actual emergencies or urgent issues

Implemented in each of the NRCs four regions Involves inspection and assessment activities Executed by regional and resident inspectors 1

NRC Annual Assessment Summary St Lucie Units 1 & 2
NRC Annual Assessment Summary Florida Power & Light (FPL) operated the plant safely and in a manner that preserved the public health and safety and protected the environment.
St Lucie Units 1 & 2 were in the Licensee Response Column of the NRCs ROP Action Matrix for the entire 2023 assessment period.
NRC plans to conduct routine baseline inspections at St Lucie in 2024.
NRC Inspection Activities Two resident inspectors on site; residents perform daily oversight activities and document baseline inspection results on a quarterly basis Four regional inspections, including:
Cyber Security Inspection Initial License Exam Commercial Grade Dedication Inspection Security Baseline Inspection St Lucie Units 1 & 2 for 2023

NRC Annual Assessment Summary Turkey Point Units 3 & 4
NRC Annual Assessment Summary FPL operated the plant safely and in a manner that preserved the public health and safety and protected the environment.
Turkey Point Units 3 & 4 were in the Licensee Response Column of the NRCs ROP Action Matrix for the entire 2023 assessment period.
