VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT, UNITS 3 AND 4 - EXEMPTION REQUEST REGARDING FINAL SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT UPDATE SCHEDULE (EPID L-2024-LLE-0013)
Dear Jamie Coleman:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has approved the enclosed exemptions from specific requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR), Part 50, Section 50.71(e)(4), and Appendix D to 10 CFR Part 52, Sections X.B.2 and X.B.3.c, for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (Vogtle), Units 3 and 4. This action is in response to your application dated March 22, 2024, as supplemented by letter dated August 14, 2024, that requested the exemptions to allow periodic updates of the Vogtle, Units 3 and 4, combined Final Safety Analysis Reports by June 30 of every odd-numbered year and not to exceed 24-months between successive updates.
A copy of the exemption is enclosed. These exemptions have been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
