Enclosure 2 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT Docket No. 71-9356 Model No. MAGNATRAN Certificate of Compliance No. 9356 Revision No. 5 GENERAL EVALUATION By application dated February 28, 2024, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML24059A158), NAC International, Inc., (NAC) requested renewal of Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 9356, for the Model No. MAGNATRAN package.
Given that no changes have been made, the staff continues to find that the package meets the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 71.
The certificate has been renewed for an additional five-year period and updated to Revision No.
5.
CONDITIONS The following changes have been made to the CoC:
Item No. 3 a. was revised with the new address of the certificate holder, as requested in the application.
Condition No. 14 extends the validity of Revision No. 4 of the certificate to April 30, 2025.
Condition No. 15 (previously numbered 14) was updated to reflect the April 30, 2029, expiration date of Revision No. 5 of the certificate.
The application date for this renewal was added to the REFERENCES section. (ML24059A158)
CONCLUSION Based on the statements and representations in the application and the conditions listed above, the staff concludes that the Model No. MAGNATRAN Transport Package design has been adequately described and evaluated, and that the changes do not affect the ability of the package to meet the requirements of 10 CFR Part 71.
