He was the Team Leader for the Royal Canadian Navy's East Coast Nuclear Emergency Response Team for 8 years, and has continued to offer expertise as a contractor in this field and all hazards emergency management and response since his retirement from the Navy in 2006.
He is an expert exercise designer, and has developed and led some of the largest field exercises in Canadian history, including field exercises delivered in preparation for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, and international exercises involving as many as 14 countries and multiple international organizations. Mr. Morris is the Provincial Lead Designer and Controller for Cobalt Magnet 2025, representing Emergency Management Ontario.
