PETITION TO INTERVENE AND REQUEST FOR HEARING REGARDING THE SUBSEQUENT LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FROM THE VIRGINIA ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY FOR NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 (DOCKET NOS. 50-338 and 50-339)
The Office of the Secretary has received a petition to intervene and request for hearing from Diane Curran on behalf of Beyond Nuclear and the Sierra Club organizations. The request, which was submitted through the E-Filing System on March 28, 2024, is in response to the subsequent license renewal application from the Virginia Electric Power Company for North Anna Power Station Units 1 and 2 (Docket Nos. 50-338 and 50-339), as published in the Federal Register on January 8, 2024 (89 Fed. Reg. 960). The deadline to request a hearing was extended to March 28, 2024.1 The petition to intervene and request for hearing can be found in ADAMS under Accession Number ML24088A028 and on the Electronic Hearing Docket.
The request is being referred to you for appropriate action in accordance with 10 C.F.R. § 2.346(i). This referral memorandum is being served on the E-Filing service list for the North Anna Power Station Units 1 and 2 proceeding, Docket Nos. 50-338-SLR-2 and 50-339-SLR-2.
