Step One, dated November 30, 2023 (ML23334A222)

On November 30, 2023, General Electric Company (GE), GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas, LLC (GEH) and Global Nuclear Fuel-Americas, LLC (GNF-A) (together, "Applicants") received NRC Order EA-23-132 (Reference 5) approving the indirect transfer of control of licenses described in Reference 1. As described more fully in Reference 1, the proposed indirect transfer of control involved two steps.

On November 30, 2023, Applicants informed the N RC that it planned to complete the actions necessary to accomplish the first step of the proposed indirect transfers of control on December 1, 2023 (Reference 6). The purpose of this letter is to inform the NRG at least one business day before all actions necessary to accomplish the indirect transfers of control are completed. Accordingly, we plan to complete all actions necessary to close the second step of the Spin, as described in the Application (Reference 1) on April 2, 2024.

We also give notice of the anticipated change in the legal entity and go-to-market names of GEH and affiliated entities. The change is relatively minor in that "GE" would be replaced by "GE Vernova;" no other change in the names is anticipated. Applicants expect to timely submit requests for conforming administrative license amendments to reflect this name change.
