Dear Mr. Warden:
Enclosed is export application XB1366 dated February 27, 2024, accepted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, from Eckert & Ziegler Isotope Products. The application requests the export of four cobalt-57, each containing 0.000888 terabecquerels. The sources will be used to calibrate diagnostic medical equipment located in Pakistan.
Before acting on this request, we appreciate your views on this application, in accordance with 10 CFR 110.41, from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
