Good morning Richard, NRC review staff pointed out the below and asked me to pass it on for clarification prior to Revision 2 being provided on the docket:
(1) In revised LTR Table 5-2, (a) Footnotes (1), (5) & (9) do not appear to be called out within the Table 5-2 as done for the other footnotes.
(b) In the last row for [DP-SC?] Shear Walls, and Diaphragms element types, from the descriptions in column 2, it is unclear regarding In-plane Shear, whether the first sub-row with value 3.0 in the 4th column is intended to be for In-plane Shear for DP-SC Walls and the second sub-row with value 1.5 intended to be for In-plane Shear for DP-SC Diaphragms. Similarly, the row for In-plane flexure is unclear if it is for DP-SC shear walls or DP-SC diaphragms or both.
(c) It is unclear if footnote (8) should refer to RG 1.243 regulatory position C11.1.5 in its entirety (to cover the range of compression levels) rather than just C11.1.5.1.
(2) In revised LTR Table 5-3 footnote (1), the first word Conservatively does not appear to belong in the first phrase Conservatively, the triaxiality factor, TF, is defined as.
