Ronald Rogers, Director Division of Radiological Health Mississippi State Department of Health 310 Airport Road Pearl, MS 39208
SUBJECT:
MISSISSIPPI PERIODIC MEETING SCHEDULING LETTER AND AGENDA
Dear Ron Rogers:
To help the Agreement States and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) remain knowledgeable of each others program and to initiate planning for the next Integrated Materials Performance Evaluation Program (IMPEP) review, the NRC conducts one-day periodic meetings with Agreement States in between IMPEP reviews.
In accordance with the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS) Procedure SA-116, Periodic Meetings between IMPEP Reviews, and after previous coordination with you, we have scheduled the periodic meeting for Wednesday, April 24, 2024, starting at 8:30 AM. In addition, we will have your bi-monthly heightened oversight call/meeting starting at 12:30 PM as a hybrid meeting. Tammy Bloomer, Division Director, Division of Radiological Safety and Security, and I will be on-site for both the periodic meeting and the bi-monthly heightened oversight meeting. Other Nuclear Materials Safety and Safeguards staff will join us via MS Teams, as their schedule allows. The on-site portions of the meeting will be held at the Radiation Control Program office in Pearl, Mississippi.
Please note that the likely topics for discussion at the meeting are listed on the enclosed agenda. If there are any additional specific topics you would like to cover, or if you would like to focus on a specific area, please let me know. If you have any questions, please call me at 817-371-7908, or via email at jackie.cook@nrc.gov.
Sincerely, Jacqueline D. Cook Regional State Agreements Officer Division of Radiological Safety and Security
