- Description of the rule: The NRC is discontinuing this rulemak ing because the Commission was unable to reach a decision on the staffs recomm ended proposed rule on radioactive source security and accountability that would am end regulations in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations to further ensure validit y of license applicants.
Therefore, the proposed rule is not approved.
- Dates: The discontinuation of the rulemaking is effective upon the date of publication.
