SUMMARY
OF THE MARCH 6, 2024, OBSERVATION PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS SARGENT & LUNDYS PLAN FOR A TOPICAL REPORT REVISION ON QUALITY ASSURANCE The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted a virtual observation public meeting/teleconference on March 6, 2024. The purpose of this meeting was for Sargent &
Lundy (S&L) to present its plan for the topical report (TR) revision on quality assurance.
The public meeting notice was posted on the NRC public website on February 16, 2024, and can be found under Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)

During the open meeting, S&L staff stated the intent to submit a revision to the TR on this topic and provided a general description of the intended changes for incorporation into the report.

During the meeting, S&L staff provided a short summary of the regulatory guide revisions that would be addressed in its submittal. The staff from S&L also asked about preferred formats and documentation requirements for a submittal. The NRC staff addressed questions about the schedule for TR submittals with the standard review timelines from LIC-500 (Accession No. ML20247G279).
The NRC staff asked clarifying questions on the scope of the organizational changes being updated in the proposed revision and S&L staff provided examples of new positions and position name changes. The NRC staff also asked questions regarding any schedule suggestions S&L is planning to request.
At the conclusion of the meeting, there was an opportunity for the public to provide comments and ask questions. No members of the public made comments on the discussions.
