PETITION TO INTERVENE AND REQUEST FOR HEARING REGARDING THE LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FROM PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR DIABLO CANYON POWER PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 (DOCKET NOS. 50-275 AND 50-323)
The Office of the Secretary has received a petition to intervene and request for hearing from Diane Curran on behalf of the San Luis Obispo Mothers for Peace, Friends of the Earth, and Environmental Working Group. The request, which was submitted by email on March 4, 2024, and subsequently filled through the E-Filing System on March 5, 2024, is in response to the license renewal application from Pacific Gas and Electric Company for Diablo Canyon Power Plant, Units 1 and 2 (Docket Nos. 50-275 and 50-323), as published in the Federal Register on December 19, 2023 (88 Fed. Reg. 87,817). The request and supporting documents, as well as related emails can be found in ADAMS under Accession Numbers ML24065A432 and ML24067A085, respectively, and on the Electronic Hearing Docket.
The request is being referred to you for appropriate action in accordance with 10 C.F.R. § 2.346(i). This referral memorandum is being served on the E-Filing service list for the Diablo Canyon Power Plant, Units 1 and 2 proceeding, Docket No. 50-275 and 50-323 LR-2.
