SUMMARY
OF FEBRUARY 15, 2024, PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS SECTIONS OF THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION OF TEST, RESEARCH AND TRAINING REACTORS, INC. PROPOSED NEI 23-03 GUIDANCE ON THE 50.59 PROCESS FOR DIGITAL APPLICATIONS (EPID: L-2023-NFG-0002)
On February 15, 2024, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML24004A122), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a public meeting with the National Organization of Test, Research, and Training Reactors (TRTR) staff to continue to discuss endorsement of Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) 23-03. A list of attendees is provided as an enclosure to this memorandum.
During the meeting, NRC and TRTR representatives discussed the NRC staff comments made to Section 1, Section 2, and Section 4 of the NEI 23-03 document. Representatives at the meeting scheduled the next meeting to review the TRTR comment responses to section 4 in a public meeting set for March 21, 2024. There were no members of the public present in the meeting.
