(South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2)
ORDER
On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, the participants in this proceeding filed a Joint Motion
of Applicants and Petitioners for a Stay of Issuance of a Decision on the Pending Motion and
Petition, stating that the participants were attempting to finalize a settlement agreement that
would result in the withdrawal of Petitioners pending motion and petition. As a result, the
Commission has decided not to proceed with the affirmation of a decision that had been
scheduled for Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Pursuant to my authority under 10 C.F.R. § 2.346(a), I direct the Applicants and
Petitioners to file an initial joint report on the status of their settlement efforts by March 8, 2024,
and to update that joint status report every thirty days thereafter until settlement discussions
conclude.
