By letter November 3, 2023 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No.: ML23307A221), Oklo Inc. (Oklo) submitted a white paper (WP),
Approach to Seismic Design Categorization and Site Characterization, for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs review. This WP describes Oklos approach to seismic design categorization and site characterization that would be used to support deployment of Oklos Aurora powerhouse. As part of the WP submittal, Oklo also provided specific questions that it would like the NRC staff to address in its feedback.
On January 18, 2024 (ML24032A149) the NRC staff met with Oklo to discuss the NRC staffs preliminary feedback and observations on the WP. The enclosure to this letter provides the NRC staffs feedback and observations for Oklo to consider as part of any future licensing submittal that may address this topic.
The enclosure to this letter contains proprietary information.
