Request for Extension of Interim Authority To Operate (IATO) for the Distributed Control System (DCS) and Process Telecommunication System (PTS) at the American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio

Dear Mirela Gavrilas:

The purpose of this letter is to request an additional 1-year extension of the IATO for the DCS and PTS for the American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio. This system is currently operating under a U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) authorized IATO that is valid throqgh March 31, 2024 (Reference 1 ), as conditioned.

This extension would allow for continued operations during NRC's assessment and final issuance of an ongoing Authority To Operate the system in Piketon, Ohio.
