This email formally acknowledges receipt of the letter from Carbon Asset Solutions received on January 19, 2024, in response to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) letter dated December 20, 2023, transmitting a Notice of Violation.In this letter, you describe the corrective actions - including personnel notification, enhanced procedures, and updated training - that Carbon Asset Solutions has taken and will take to address the potential for recurrence of a similar issue.
The NRC has reviewed your corrective actions, which appear to be adequate, and has no further questions at this time.The effectiveness of these corrective actions will be examined at any future inspection of activities performed in NRC jurisdiction.
In accordance with the NRCs Rules of Practice in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 2.390, of a copy of this correspondence will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRCs Public Document Room or from the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System(ADAMS), accessible from the NRCs website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
