SAFEGUARDS INFORMATION PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION
Dear Mr. Ryu:
This letter documents the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs plan to perform an inspection of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. (KHNP)s facility at Vienna, VA to review implementation of your Safeguards Information Protection Program in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 73.21, Protection of Safeguards Information: Performance Requirements. Specifically, the program and its implementation, will be reviewed as they pertain to KHNPs design development. As discussed during via electronic mail on December 18, 2023 and January 8, 2024, the NRC inspector plans to conduct the inspection on Thursday, February 1, 2024. Subsequent to the inspection, a report will be issued and transmitted to you via letter.
