Mr. John Monninger Regional Administrator U.S. NRC, Region IV 1600 E. Lamar Blvd Arlington, TX 76011-4511

Dear Mr. Monninger,

I am pleased to provide you with the Radiological Emergency Preparedness final report for the Comanche Peak Nuclear.Power Plant Medical Services Drill that was evaluated on August 23, 2023. The FEMA Region 6 staff evaluated the implementation of radiological response plans at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne and Somervell County Fire Department Emergency Medical Services.

The evaluation found no Level 1 Findings, Level 2 Findings, or Plan Issues. This means that the State of Texas and the affected local jurisdictions provided reasonable assurance that they can take appropriate measures to protect the health and safety of the public in the event of a radiological emergency.

Therefore, 44 CFR Part 350 approval of the offsite radiological emergency response plans and preparedness for the State of Texas, site-specific to Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, will remain in effect. A copy ofthis report was forwarded to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Document Control Desk in Washington, DC.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (940) 383-7364.

Sincerely,

OSC AR Dig itally signed by OSCAR MARTINEZ JR MARTINEZ JR Date : 2023.10.26 10:09:05 -05'00' Oscar Martinez Regional Assistance Committee Chair
