The Honorable Jeanne Shaheen United States Senate Washington, DC 20510
Dear Senator Shaheen:
On behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), I am responding to your December 5, 2023, letter requesting information about the license amendment request for the proposed NextEra Common Emergency Plan for Seabrook Station and other nuclear power plants.

The NRC staff will continue to keep the public informed as it proceeds through its review, consistent with the NRC's Principles of Good Regulation, including openness and clarity.
I appreciate your letter and the interest in the safety and staffing of Seabrook. If you have any questions on the enclosed response, or need additional information, please contact me, or have your staff contact Eugene Dacus, Director of the Office of Congressional Affairs, at (301) 415-1776.
