CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NO. 9374, REVISION NO. 2, FOR THE MODEL NO. HI-STAR 80 PACKAGE
Dear Kimberly Manzione:
As requested by your letter dated July 29, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML21210A403), as supplemented on December 22, 2022, June 27, 2023, and November 30, 2023, enclosed is Certificate of Compliance (CoC)
No. 9374, Revision No. 2, for the Model No. HI-STAR 80 transportation package. The CoC was also renewed in accordance with your request dated June 27, 2023. The staff's safety evaluation report is enclosed.
Holtec International is registered as a user of the package under the general license provisions of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Section 71.17, General license: NRC-approved package, or 49 CFR 173.471, Requirements for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission approved packages. The approval constitutes authority to use the package for shipment of radioactive material and for the package to be shipped in accordance with the provisions of 49 CFR 173.471.
