ROUTE RE-APPROVAL APPLICATION (U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION ROUTE NO. 249), DOCKET NUMBER: 070-07011
Dear Billy Hunt:
I am responding to your letter dated June 27, 2023, requesting that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) re-approve Truck Route No. 249. Route No. 249 is used for transporting spent nuclear fuel.
The NRC has reviewed your application and concluded that the information provided satisfies the requirements of Section 73.37 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations. The approved route is designated as Truck Route No. 249B and will expire on November 30, 2028. The NRC expects your periodic review and update of the emergency telephone numbers associated with this route. Changes to emergency contact numbers do not qualify as a route deviation or change.
