III be conducting a nuclear criticality safety (NCS) inspection at your facility during the week of December 4, 2023. The inspection will focus on the core inspection procedures described in Inspection Manual Chapter 2600; and will use Inspection Procedures 88015, Nuclear Criticality Safety. No other inspectors are currently planned to be coming on this inspection.
I have attached a request for documents needed for this inspection. It is important that all of these documents are up to date, complete, and ready for the inspectors upon arrival at the facility.
If possible, an entrance meeting should be scheduled for 14:00 on Monday, with an exit meeting at 16:00 on Thursday. General Information Requested for In-Office Preparation
- 1) Latest version of the Integrated Safety Analysis (ISA) Summary (if different from Rev 33b )
- 2) Current NCS Program procedures
- 3) A list of NCS-related Corrective Action Program entries since the last NCS inspection in April; including any CAAS-related entries
- 4) A schedule of any planned IROFS surveillance, CAAS testing/maintenance, operator training and other significant site activities during the inspection week
- 5) The CSAs, CSEs, and ISA meeting minutes for the Ventilated Room and the Decontamination Workshop

Documents/Support Requested for On-site Inspection
- 1) CAAS issue, maintenance, and test records within the last year; including those related to the June 1 CAAS issue in the SBM1005 Process Service Cor ridor
- 2) Documentation of any changes to the CAAS within the last year
- 3) For any NCS program procedures that have been revised since the last NCS inspection, provide the prior version of the procedure and the change documentation
- 5) Records of NCS walkdowns/NCSIs since the last NCS inspection, and schedule for walkdowns in 2024, schedule for the walkdown during the inspection week and POC
- 6) A list of the nuclear criticality safety evaluations/analyses, SBD Verification forms and Nuclear Safety Releases that have been issued, revised or implemented since the last NCS inspection
- 7) Qualification records for in-training NCS engineers, and NCS engineers who have obtained an NCS qualification since the last NCS inspection
- 8) CAAS evacuation drill records
