Title:

Environmental Meeting Related to the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement, Units 1 and 2, License Renewal Application Date(s) and Time(s): December 07, 2023, 07:00 PM to 09:00 PM CT Location: Somervell County Expo Center 202 Bo Gibbs Blvd, W Hwy 67 Glen Rose, TX Category: This is a Comment-Gathering Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to receive comments from participants on specific NRC decisions and actions to ensure that NRC staff understands their views and concerns.

Purpose:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will conduct draft supplemental environmental impact statement (DSEIS) meeting to gather comments necessary to prepare the final supplemental environmental impact statement (FSEIS) for the potential license renewal of the operating licenses for Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant (CPNPP), Units 1 and 2. The NRC is seeking stakeholder input on this action and has scheduled public meeting that will take place in Glen Rose, Texas.

NRC Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Docket No: 05000445 05000446 Comments: Open house: The meeting will begin at 7:00PM CT. This will be preceded by an open house session to begin at 6:00PM, for members of the public to converse informally with NRC staff. While comments will be accepted during the court reporter transcribed meeting, comments will not be accepted during the open house sessions.

Topic times are estimated and, depending on the participation level, the meeting could adjourn earlier than scheduled. If there are concerns with a potential early meeting adjournment, please inform the point of contact for this meeting.
