SUMMARY
OF CLOSED PRE-SUBMITTAL MEETING FOR THE FUTURE SUBMITTAL OF WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY TOPICAL REPORT D6 CPR CORRELATION FOR TRITON FUEL (PROPRIETARY/NON-PROPRIETARY)
On October 5, 2023, a closed pre-submittal virtual meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) representatives. The purpose of the meeting was for Westinghouse representatives to present proprietary information related to the future submittal of Westinghouse Topical Report D6 CPR Correlation for TRITON11 Fuel. In the beginning of the presentation the Westinghouse representatives provided historical information on Westinghouse boiling-water reactor fuel evolution. The Westinghouse representatives continued the presentation with a detailed overview of TRITON11 fuel, dryout database, D6 critical power ratio correlation, D6 R-factor model, steady-state validation, transient validation, range of validity, and concluded the presentation with a short summary.
By a letter dated September 27, 2023, Westinghouse submitted the presentation slides (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML23272A218). The meeting was noticed on September 15, 2023, and is available in ADAMS under Accession No. ML23261B181. The list of attendees is enclosed.
