SUMMARY
OF MEETING ON SEPTEMBER 27, 2023, WITH TRISO-X LLC, TO DISCUSS DRAFT REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION RESPONSES ON INTEGRATED SAFETY ANALYSIS The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) hosted a closed public meeting with TRISO-X, LLC (TRISO-X) on September 27, 2023, from 3:00PM until 4:30PM. The purpose of the meeting was to further understand TRISO-Xs draft responses to the previously issued non-public requests for additional information (RAIs) regarding programmatic issues in the previously submitted integrated safety analysis summary (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23230B190). The TRISO-X application was received April 5, 2022 (ML22101A200) and was supplemented by letters dated October 13, 2022 (ML22286A144) and November 4, 2022 (ML22308A251). The NRC staff discussed the draft RAI responses with TRISO-X and provided feedback on potential additional clarifications needed. TRISO-X agreed to consider input from the NRC in their final RAI responses due by October 12, 2023.
