OF THE AUGUST 1, 2023, PARTIALLY CLOSED MEETING WITH WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY TO DISCUSS THE WHITE PAPER REGARDING THE EVINCITM MICRO-REACTOR DESIGNS RADIATION PROTECTION AND CONTAMINATION CONTROL The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a partially closed meeting with Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) on August 1, 2023, to discuss a white paper related to Westinghouses eVinciTM micro-reactor design. The purpose of this meeting was for the NRC staff to ask clarifying questions to support their review of the white paper submitted by Westinghouse on Radiation Protection and Contamination Control (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23178A181)).
The partially closed meeting notice was issued on July 21, 2023, and can be found in ADAMS (ML23202A059). This meeting notice was posted on the NRC public website as a partially closed meeting because the topical reports are withheld in their entirety as proprietary commercial information and are being withheld from public disclosure. Enclosure 1 provides the list of meeting attendees. Enclosure 2 provides the feedback, questions and comments that were shared with Westinghouse, as well as a summary of the meeting discussions.
