Opportunity to review and comment on a New NRC information collection, 10 CFR part 50.55a, Codes and Standards
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission recently published a Federal Register Notice announcing our intent to submit an information collection request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for 10 CFR part 50.55a, Codes and Standards. A supporting statement describing the requested information and burden estimates are available at http://regulations.gov by searching docket NRC-2023-0060.
As a potential respondent to this information collection, we are interested in your feedback.
Specifically, we are seeking input on the following questions by October 30, 2023:
- 1. Is the proposed collection of information necessary for the NRC to properly perform
its functions? Does the information have practical utility? Please explain your answer.
- 2. Is the estimate of the burden of the information collection accurate? Please explain
your answer.
- 3. Is there a way to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be
collected?
- 4. How can the burden of the information collection on respondents be minimized,
including the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology?
