By letter dated June 27, 2023 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23178A180), Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse),
submitted for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs review:
EVR-REA-GL-001, Radiation Protection and Contamination Control The white paper describes proposed aspects of the eVinciTM micro-reactor for which Westinghouse desires to have pre-application interactions. The NRC staff was asked to perform a review of the subject white paper and provide written feedback. The NRC staff completed its review and has found no major deficiencies for this stage of the pre-application process. The enclosure to this letter, NRC Feedback Regarding EVR-REA-GL-001, Radiation Protection and Contamination Control, provides the NRC staffs detailed feedback and observations for Westinghouse to consider.
The enclosures to this letter contain proprietary information.
