Background===
General Reminders
- Public comment period 7/11/23 to 9/11/23.
- Purpose of this meeting is o to interact with the public regarding SLR Guidance o to provide an overview of the revision process and significant updates o to offer recommendations on how to best formulate comments to facilitate staff adjudication or resolution.
- No Staff decisions, findings, or commitments to be made during these public meetings.
- Comments should be submitted in writing with sufficient detail, justification or explanation.

- Revise the Program Description for Scope of Program to include mechanical components associated with electrical equipment, such as gaskets, seals, O-rings, etc..
AMP XI.E1, Electrical Insulation for Electrical Cables and Connections Not Subject to 10 CFR 50.49 Environmental Qualification Requirements
- Revise the Program Description for Detection of Aging Effects to ensure cables and electrical connections are inspected to identify cable and connection insulation coated with fire retardant material installed in an adverse localized environments.
AMP XI.E3c, "Electrical Insulation For Inaccessible Low-Voltage Power Cables Not Subject To 10 CFR 50.49 Environmental Qualification Requirements"
- Remove a paragraph erroneously included in the Program Description for Corrective Action in SLR-ISG-2021-04-ELECTRICAL.
GALL-SRP-SLR Scoping and Screening Section 2.5.2.1.1, Components within the Scope of Scope of Station Blackout
- Revise to note that alternate current power sources and any cross-tie components that may be stipulated for recovery from station blackout is an example of equipment that is required to cope with a station blackout.
Path Forward
- Formal comments from all parties are invited, deadline 9/11/23.
- Formal comments will be addressed prior to finalizing NUREGs.
- Final draft NUREGs to be presented to Advisory Committee for Reactor Safeguards.
- Final NUREGs issued, estimate Oct 2024.
