NOTICE OF FORTHCOMING PRE-SUBMITAL MEETING WITH THE NUCLEAR ENERGY INSTITUTE TO DISCUSS ISO 9001 AND SUPPLEMENTAL ACTIVITIES WITH U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION STAFF Date(s) and Time(s): September 27, 2023, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm ET Location: NRC Headquarters, One White Flint 11555 Rockville Pike Rockville, MD 20852-2738 OWFN-7B04 Category: This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the U.S Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
Purpose:
The NRC and the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) will discuss NEI's proposal of quality assurance standard ISO-9001 and its potential use with supplemental activities to satisfy the regulatory requirement for quality assurance.
