Dear Dir. Warden:
Enclosed is an application accepted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on August 3, 2023, from Louisiana Energy Services, LLC, (XCOM1360) for the export of gas centrifuge enrichment plant components as described in Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 110 to Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. The exports are the return of equipment, originally entered into the U.S. under the Treaty of Washington, for the repair, replacement, service, calibration, or disposal of gas centrifuge components.
Before taking action on this request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
