[External_Sender] Correction to comment submitted 01/13/23 Date:
Friday, January 13, 2023 5:27:34 PM TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Earlier this afternoon, I sent in a comment relating to the proposed extension of the life of Comanche Peak nuclear power plant (both Units 1 and 2).
I made several typographical errors which I need to correct. One concerns my legal name at the time, and a number.
In my submitted comment (copied below) I need to change the bolded portion of the sentence which reads: "I was married at the time--my name was Barbara Burnett; it is now Barbara Burnett" to: "I was married at the time--my name was Barbara Boltz; it is now Barbara Burnett."
I also need to correct the name of the utility company and the amount of the rate decrrease which the PUC ordered in that rate case: "..caused the PUC to give TUa $1.6 BILLION DOLLAR rate DECREASE..."
Thank you so much for making these important corrections.

In the '70's and '80's I was a board member for CASE (Citizens Assoc. for Sound Energy) in Dallas, TX. We were the intervenor group that participated in both the construction and licensing hearings before the ASLB and the rate base case hearings before the TX PUC on the Comanche Peak nuclear power plant (units 1 & 2) for approximately 10 years. I was married at the time--my name was Barbara Burnett; it is now Barbara Burnett. With the assistance of a number of whistleblowers (construction, QA/QC--and especially engineers) we were able to get them to pull out and replace deadly installations in the plant's design and construction. In addition, once our arguments and data caused the PUC to give TU a $1.6BILLION DOLLAR rate DECREASE when they had applied for a rate increase (due to their incompetance and attempts to keep the PUC in the dark about the seriousness of the rework that was required on Unit 2).
My now-ex husband and I resigned from CASE when a secret agreement to stop contesting the license was sprung on us by CASE's ' then-President Juanita Ellis and TESCO. It contained statements of shocking improprieties on her part. I was only allowed to read it after signing a statement of confidentiality, which legally prevented me from revealing the agreement's contents even to the groups' members. (I urged the members to get the ASLB to unseal the agreement, which it was--but only after the worst parts were revised to make it appear less horrible.) It was truly a heart-breaking time.
At any rate, I am firmly opposed to Comanche Peak being allowed a single day more to operate, much less 20 more years.
Sincerely,
