Per Ref (1), the University of Utah's Vice President of Research (VPR) is the Level 1 individual responsible for the reactor facility's licenses. In accordance with Ref (2), the University of Utah is required to provide a special report within 30 days of a permanent change in the facility organization involving Level 1 or Level 2 personnel.
On May 1st, 2023, Dr. Erin Rothwell was officially appointed the Vice President of Research (previously interim status). Therefore, she will continue to serve as the Level 1 for the University of Utah TRIGA Reactor (UUTR) until further notice. Dr. Glenn E. Sjoden remains Level 2.
