SUBJECT Clarification Call Regarding Certificate of Compliance Thermal Test Condition EPID: L-2022-LLA-0070 - NAC International, Model No. NAC-STC
SUMMARY
AND ACTION REQUIRED (IF ANY)
PARTICIPANTS NRC/NMSS: Chris Bajwa, Tilda Liu, and Chris Allen NAC: Heath Baldner
SUMMARY
NAC International submitted an amendment application which included proposed changes to Condition 9(d) to Certificate of Compliance No. 9235 on May 9, 2022, (ML22130A773). NRC staff requested clarification on the proposed language. NAC International explained that thermal tests performed on previously fabricated packages have demonstrated that the thermal analyses accurately describe the thermal performance of the package design. Subsequently, NRC staff and NAC International agreed on the language to be used in Condition 9(d) to Certificate of Compliance No. 9235. No NRC staff decision, neither technical nor regulatory in nature, was made at the call.
