Dear Mr. Prada:

The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI)1, on behalf of its members, requests NRC review and comment on the attached white paper associated with the implementation of cyber security program ongoing monitoring and assessment (OMA). This document (attached) provides guidance and examples to licensees for OMA and for the use of alternate frequencies for certain periodic cyber security controls consistent with Section A.3.1.6.2.d, NEI 08-09, Revision 6, Cyber Security Plan for Power Reactors.

In conjunction with the submission of this whitepaper, NEI respectfully requests a public meeting to introduce the whitepaper and also requests a response to this letter in writing.

NRC approved a fee exemption request for the review of this white paper by letter dated January 17, 20232.
