See 36 CFR Part 800, NRC RG4.2, Section 2.6.
ACU Response ACU has not corresponded with the Texas Historical Commission or native American Tribes. Based on audit discussions, ACU understands that the Texas Historical Commission is interested in the possible historical significance of the former Taylor Elementary School. The ACU Molten Salt Research Reactor will be housed in the Science and Engineering Research Center (SERC). The SERC is built on the site of an intramural field formerly part of the Taylor Elementary School. The photographs below show the SERC and the former elementary school buildings. Figure 1 shows the SERC in the foreground and the former elementary school to the right behind the SERC. The former elementary school gymnasium is now used as research laboratories by the ACU Department of Engineering and Physics. The former gymnasium is the gray metal building to the right of the SERC in Figure 1. In Figure 2, the former elementary school is seen to the left of the SERC. The photograph in Figure 3 is taken from the former elementary school and the SERC can be seen in the background on the right.
