SID-02764 Millstone 2016-03-24 02 :46 Drone CT Power Reactor - Operating Dong Park Site security observed a drone flyover in the Owner Controlled Area. The drone flew in the South to North direction along the shoreline for about 2 minutes. The closest the drone got to the Protected Area was about 200 yards. The licensee raised their security level to a heightened state of awareness. The Groton airport air tower was not aware of a registered flyover.
The licensee notified the NRC Resident Inspector. Notified R1 DO (McKinley).
