CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NO. 9788, REVISION NO. 21, FOR THE MODEL NOS. S5W REACTOR COMPARTMENT AND 688 REACTOR COMPARTMENT DISPOSAL PACKAGE

Dear M.A. Kuprenas:

By letter dated May 8, 2023 (Agency Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML23157A328), you submitted an application to renew the certificate of compliance (CoC) for the Model Nos. S5W Reactor Compartment and 688 Reactor Compartment Disposal Package. Enclosed is CoC No. 9788, revision 21, for the Model Nos. S5W Reactor Compartment and 688 Reactor Compartment Disposal Package. The staffs safety evaluation report is also enclosed.

The approval constitutes authority to use the package for shipment of radioactive material and for the package to be shipped in accordance with the provisions of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 71.17 or 49 CFR 173.471.
