STC-23 0X UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 July 19, 2023 ALL FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED INDIAN TRIBES NOTIFICATION OF THE FUEL CYCLE PROCESSES SEMINAR (F-209) COURSE (STC 051)
Purpose:
To provide notification to all Federally recognized Indian Tribes of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) Fuel Cycle Process Seminar course to be held September 18-21, 2023, in Rockville, Maryland and virtually.
Background:
The NRC has opened the course to Tribes, States, and Federal agencies. The course provides familiarity with the nuclear fuel cycle from uranium mining to fuel fabrication to storage and disposal. It focuses on fuel operations, safety analysis, and regulatory topics.
There will be an exam on Thursday after discussing all course modules. Completion of the exam is only required for those in a formal qualification program. The NRC is not providing funding for associated travel or per diem.
Discussion: The course will be held at the NRC Two White Flint North Auditorium and virtually through Microsoft Teams. If you would like to take this course, please register through the Form. If after registering, you are unable to attend the class, please withdraw as soon as possible so those on the waiting list may have an opportunity.
