Title:
TELECONFERENCE WITH NUCLEAR FUEL SERVICES, INC REGARDING ADDITONAL INFORMATION NEEDED ON THE U-METAL LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST Date(s) and Time(s): June 29, 2023, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM ET Location: Webinar Category: This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
Purpose:
Discuss information that is needed for the NRC staff to make a safety finding for the U-metal license amendment request submitted by Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. The NRC is seeking additional information to ensure that the licensee has identified and evaluated potential accidents for natural phenomena hazards in its Integrated Safety Analysis, established items relied on for safety and management measures for natural phenomena hazards that comply with the regulatory requirements, and ensured adequate protection of public health and safety.
