By letter dated October 3, 2022 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML22276A082), as supplemented by letters dated April 6, 2023 (ADAMS Accession No. ML23096A302) and April 24, 2023 (ADAMS Accession No. ML23114A377), Vistra Operations Company LLC (Vistra or the applicant) submitted an application for license renewal of Facility Operating License Nos.NPF-87 and NPF-89 for Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant (CPNPP), Units 1 and 2, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or staff). Vistra submitted the application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 54, Requirements for Renewal of Operating Licenses for Nuclear Power Plants, for license renewal.
The NRC staff is in the process of reviewing your application. Based on our review, the NRC staff has identified the attached requests for additional information (RAIs). The staff held a clarification call with members of your staff on June 13, 2023. As a result of the June 13, 2023, clarification call, RAI Set 1 was not modified.
The schedule for your response to these RAIs was discussed with Todd Evans of your staff, and a mutually agreeable date for the response is within 30 days from the date of this email.
