SUMMARY

OF THE MAY 8, 2023; MAY 12, 2023; AND MAY 16, 2023, MEETINGS WITH WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY TO DISCUSS WHITE PAPERS REGARDING THE EVINCITM MICRO-REACTOR DESIGN The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held partially closed meetings on May 8, 2023; May 12, 2023; and May 16, 2023; to discuss six white papers related to the eVinciTM micro-reactor design. On March 30, 2023, Westinghouse submitted six white papers on aspects of the eVinciTM micro-reactor design (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23089A216). The NRC staff provided preliminary feedback and questions to Westinghouse to support the discussions during the closed portion of the meetings.

During the meetings, Westinghouse addressed the questions and feedback that had been provided prior to the meeting.

The white papers that were discussed in the meeting include:
